Walk in the footsteps of the young men who reshaped our nation and replanted our wilderness.
Come relive the struggle and glory of the CCC with our Interpretive Ranger by walking trails they first blazed long ago in 1935.
- As we walk, we will cover a brief history of the CCC and their story here at Mission Tejas State Park.
- These 80+ year old trails the corpsman walked in the shadow of the Great Depression will help you travel back in time as we learn how they found their way through it all.
- Don’t worry, we won’t make you carry a shovel, axe, or hoe the whole way!
Meet @ the CCC Pond
Bring water, appropriate clothing and footwear for the outdoors, and be ready to appreciate the men of iron that forged our state parks.
*Attendance to this event is open to the public and free after regular day use or camping fees.
