Description:

Test your endurance and warm up with a distance hike at MTSP!

Sometimes 1 or 2 miles just doesn’t get the blood flowing, and cold weather doesn’t help!

- Join Ranger Jared in a longer guided hike over moderate difficulty terrain, coming in at just around 5-miles.

- This trip will combine 83 year old CCC trails with some of our newest paths, creating a unique journey through the varying terrain, history, and natural beauty of Mission Tejas.

- See the oldest Pine in the park, explore a landscape seen by many of the first travelers in East Texas, see the towering 100+ ft. White Oak walk along the bottomlands of San Pedro Creek, and make your way back to our start through twisting and turning ravine cut hills.

Meet @ the Rice Family Log Home. Participants need to bring water, appropriate clothing/footwear for the outdoors, and the drive to take in many of the sights the park has to offer all in one afternoon!

*Attendance to this event is open to the public and free after regular day use or camping fees.
