Description:

Make your hikes meaningful― one word, sketch, or detail at a time!

Field journaling has been important to scientists and explorers for as long as there’s been frontier. But, it’s also a way to record your adventures, notice the details in the beauty surrounding you, and admire the creativity of nature in a deeper way.

- Whether you’re 5, 50, or 500― join us and start your first field journal at Mission Tejas!

- Together with Ranger Jared, start the first few entries of a journal that will put you on your way to learning and growing as a citizen scientist, artist, writer, or adventurer!

- If you’d like to, bring your own journal! You can email Ranger Jared for recommendations. If not, we will have some DIY materials available to make your own.

Bring water, appropriate clothing and footwear for hiking, mosquito spray, and an open mind!

Meet at the Playground.

***Attendance to this event is open to the public and free after regular day use or camping fees.
