Description:

Every Ranger should be a birder, but some of us are late hatchers!

Whether you’re a diehard birder or a bird-brained beginner (like Ranger Jared), come to the park early, beat the heat, and learn what feathered flyers soar and pitch between the pines of Mission Tejas SP.

- Share your knowledge if you’re a pro, or learn the basics right alongside other beginners.

- The Park will have field guides and a limited number of binoculars available to share, but feel free to bring your own!

- Help improve our park, and yourself, by teaching a Ranger to bird with the best of them!

Participants should bring their own binoculars if possible, water, bug spray, appropriate clothing and footwear for hiking, and all their eagle eyes!

Meet at the Mission.

***Attendance to this event is open to the public and free after regular day use or camping fees.
