A birding walk that focuses on woodpeckers!

Join Ranger Pick for a 2-mile hike through the Pineywoods of Huntsville State Park as we watch for some of the eight different species of woodpecker that call Huntsville State Park home, including the Pileated Woodpecker! As we walk we will also be discussing some of the weird and unusual adaptations woodpeckers have developed over the years.

We will meet outside of the Nature Center prior to the hike, which will start at 3:30 PM. Please bring binoculars (if you have them), water and a snack. If you have extra binoculars that you are willing to share, it would be greatly appreciated if you brought them.
